This ministry started in 2009 with outreach programs in different locations. Realizing that we can have a stronger impact if we focus on a single community, we prayed for God\u2019s direction and we were led to a small village in the Bicol region.<\/p>\n
To begin, we asked ourselves \u201cwhat do they need? Beyond free meals, we recognized their need for a decent life, a better future through education. Specifically, we envisioned a youth library that is a conducive place to study. Homework in Filipino is translated as \u201ctakdang-aralin\u201d, and from there we coined the term \u201ctakdang aralan<\/em>\u201d which will refer to the place of study.<\/p>\n Takdang Aralan library served as a youth center. As years went by, we introduced more activities: Sports Camp (football, table tennis, basketball), music lessons , and theater arts.<\/p>\n Every activity and project is an opportunity to introduce the Word of God. Seeds are planted in the hearts of kids, the youth and parents. The community has embraced us and the people are ready for harvest. The strong drive in our hearts to disciple them went to the next level on April 30, 2023 when we formally gathered as a church on a Sunday worship service.
